Complete safesport training

SafeSport training is required for all active USA Water Ski & Wake Sports members (18 years of age or older) who compete or participate in sanctioned tournaments or have regular contact with any athlete or other Participant who is a minor. Follow the steps below to complete SafeSport Training through your Member Dashboard.

Step 1: login

Login to your Member Dashboard using your Email or Membership ID and password​​​

Step 2: navigate to Safesport training

Once you have successfully logged in to your Member Dashboard, click on the "Safe Sport Training / Background Screening" link near the middle of the screen​​

Step 3: Select your training option

From the SafeSport Training / Background Screening page, choose the appropriate training option:

• First Time SafeSport Training - if you have never created a SafeSport account or completed any SafeSport Training, select this option to create a NEW SafeSport Account and complete the first-time training
• Safe Sport Refresher Training - if you have previously completed SafeSport training and it has expired, select this option to login to your EXISTING SafeSport account and complete the next training
• Resume SafeSport Training in Progress  - if you have previously enrolled in a course, select this option to login to your existing SafeSport account and resume progress

Step 4: create a safesport account (new users only)

If you have never completed SafeSport Training or created a SafeSport account, fill-in the information on this screen. If you have previously created a SafeSport account, please login and ​do not create a new account. If you do not remember your username or password, recover your account details here.

Step 5: ​SafeSport home screen and
​"My Courses"

 Once you have either created a new SafeSport account or logged in to your existing account, select the "My Courses" option from the SafeSport home screen

Step 6: find your course

From the "My Courses" screen, you will be able to see the required course and/or the courses you have previously completed. 

• If this is your FIRST time taking SafeSport Training, you will see "SafeSport Trained - NGB1" 
• If your training has expired and you are renewing,  you will see "Refresher 1", "Refresher 2", or "Refresher 3" 

Click the light blue "Start" button beneath the appropriate course.
NOTE: If you are not due to complete SafeSport Training, you will only see previously completed courses marked as "Completed" on this screen.

Step 7: Enroll and begin

To begin, click the light blue "Enroll" button in the lower right-hand corner.
NOTE: You do not have to complete the entire course in one sitting. If you begin the course, it will automatically save your progress so you can login and continue where you left off at any time.

Step 8: usa-wsws membership status

Once you have completed the course, it will automatically be reflected in your USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Member Dashboard within 24 hours. If after 24 hours you do not see a "Complete" SafeSport Status and a "Current" Membership Status within your Member Dashboard, please email your certificate of completion to [email protected].
